Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical and practical problems arising in the systematization of lexical units expressing insult and negative evaluation in Uzbek linguistics, as well as their scientific classification. The study highlights the boundary between expressive and inventive vocabulary, contextual semantic changes in words, and the lack of clear criteria for determining levels of negative coloring in language. Also, the issues of grouping offensive units based on semantic, communicative-pragmatic and legal-expert criteria are studied in detail. The results of the article serve as an important theoretical basis for the correct assessment and typology of offensive language units in the fields of legal linguistics, lexicology, and pragmalinguistics
