Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the most important technologies in education today. In recent years, it has changed the way English is taught and learned around the world. AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, Duolingo, virtual tutors, and writing assistants are now widely used in English language classrooms. These tools give students new ways to improve their language skills through personal learning, quick feedback, and interactive activities. One major benefit of AI is that it can adjust learning materials to meet the needs of each student. In traditional classrooms, teachers may not have enough time to give individual support and feedback to every learner. However, AI systems can find students' strengths and weaknesses and provide suitable help. Because of this, students can learn at their own speed, get immediate feedback, and practice English anytime and anywhere. This flexibility helps learners become more independent and confident.AI also helps students develop different language skills such as reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary. For example, writing tools can find grammar mistakes and suggest better sentences, while speech recognition programs help students improve their pronunciation. Chatbots and virtual assistants allow learners to practice conversations and receive answers instantly. This gives students more chances to use English outside the classroom. This article examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence on English language education by discussing its main benefits, challenges, and future opportunities. The study explains how AI can improve language learning and increase student participation while emphasizing the need for responsible use of technology. The findings suggest that the most effective approach is to combine AI technologies with traditional teaching methods, allowing teachers and technology to work together to create a more effective and engaging learning environment
