Gamification has become a prominent strategy in modern education, offering innovative ways to enhance motivation and engagement among learners. In the context of English language learning, gamification employs game-like elements such as points, badges, levels, leaderboards, and interactive challenges to create an engaging and stimulating learning environment. This study explores various gamification strategies and their impact on students’ motivation to learn English, examining both intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors. Through a review of recent empirical studies and classroom-based implementations, the study highlights how gamified activities foster active participation, increase enthusiasm, and promote persistence in learning tasks. The findings indicate that gamification not only boosts motivation but also contributes to improved language outcomes, including vocabulary retention, speaking fluency, and overall communicative competence. Challenges such as overemphasis on rewards, unequal access to digital tools, and potential distractions are also discussed, emphasizing the need for thoughtful and purposeful design. Overall, the study underscores the effectiveness of gamification strategies in enhancing English learning motivation and provides practical insights for educators seeking to create dynamic, interactive, and motivating learning experiences
