Abstract

This article examines the relationship between digital communication and phraseology in modern online interaction. It explores how social media, messaging platforms, and internet culture influence language use, particularly the emergence of internet slang, abbreviations, emojis, memes, and new phraseological expressions. The study analyzes the transformation of traditional phraseological units in digital environments and the role of online discourse in shaping contemporary linguistic norms. Using descriptive and analytical methods, the article investigates the features of digital communication and its impact on language and society. The findings demonstrate that digital communication accelerates linguistic innovation, encourages informality and creativity, and contributes to the continuous evolution of phraseology, especially among younger generations
