Abstract

This article provides an overview of the literary legacy of Gong Ji-young. It offers an analytical interpretation of her novel Our Happy Time, focusing on two central characters—Yujeong and Yunsu—whose tragic lives are shaped by neglect and emotional deprivation in their childhood and youth. The article examines the concepts of crime and punishment as depicted in the novel and presents conclusions derived from the moral and philosophical dimensions of the work
