DEVELOPING RESEARCH PROFICIENCY IN TEACHER EDUCATION: STRATEGIES AND CHALLENGES

Abstract

The cultivation of research capabilities among teacher candidates remains a cornerstone of contemporary educator preparation programs. This investigation explores practical approaches to advancing research literacy in pre-service teachers through systematic integration of investigative practices within pedagogical training curricula, technological resource utilization, and cooperative learning environments. The present investigation evaluates both scholarly composition abilities and investigative competence among teacher candidates. Through Google Forms distribution, a modified multiple-selection survey reached 397 future educators across Uzbekistan. Statistical examination of responses employed Google Forms' analytical functions, enabling descriptive statistical interpretation. Findings reveal that most participants demonstrate awareness of investigative methodologies and scholarly writing conventions, though significant developmental areas persist
