Abstract

Justice and fairness represent fundamental moral and sociocultural concepts through which communities evaluate human conduct, institutional decisions, social relationships, and the distribution of rights and responsibilities. Although these concepts are widely recognized across linguistic communities, their semantic organization and discourse representation may reflect culturally established expectations and communicative conventions. English justice and fairness and Uzbek adolat, haqqoniylik, and insof provide a productive basis for investigating similarities and differences in the linguistic conceptualization of moral legitimacy and fair treatment. This study aims to identify and compare cultural models of justice and fairness in English and Uzbek discourse, examine their cognitive-semantic structures, and determine how legal, moral, interpersonal, and social interpretations are expressed through language
