MULTIMEDIA TOOLS AND THEIR ROLE IN EDUCATION

Abstract

The integration of multimedia tools into educational environments has significantly transformed traditional teaching and learning practices. Multimedia technologies provide opportunities to combine visual, auditory, textual, and interactive elements to create engaging and effective learning experiences. This article examines the role of multimedia tools in modern education, focusing on their contribution to students' motivation, knowledge acquisition, critical thinking, and independent learning. Particular attention is given to digital presentations, educational videos, interactive applications, virtual simulations, and online learning platforms. The study employs a qualitative approach based on the analysis of existing scientific literature and educational practices. The findings suggest that multimedia tools can facilitate the comprehension of complex concepts, support diverse learning needs, and encourage active student participation when appropriately integrated into instructional activities
