Abstract

This article discusses the importance of medical ethics and deontology in dental practice, their fundamental principles, and the specific aspects of doctor-patient relationships. The study analyzes the importance of respecting patients’ rights, maintaining medical confidentiality, avoiding harm, providing patients with understandable information, professional responsibility, and adherence to the principles of humanity in dental practice. Particular attention is also paid to reducing patients’ fear and anxiety during dental treatment, communicating with children and elderly patients, and observing ethical standards when using modern technologies. Compliance with the principles of medical ethics and deontology is an essential condition for improving the quality of dental services, strengthening patients’ trust in dentists, and ensuring the effectiveness of treatment
