THE ARTISTIC AND AESTHETIC FUNCTIONS OF POETIC METAPHORS AND SYMBOLS IN FARIDA AFROZ'S POETRY

Abstract

This article investigates the artistic and aesthetic functions of poetic metaphors and symbols in the poetry of Farida Afroʻz, one of the notable representatives of contemporary Uzbek literature. The study examines how metaphorical expressions and symbolic images contribute to the creation of poetic meaning, emotional depth, and aesthetic beauty. Employing a linguopoetic approach, the paper analyzes the interaction between language, imagery, and cultural symbolism in the poet's works. The findings indicate that metaphors and symbols are fundamental components of Farida Afroʻz's individual poetic style, enabling her to express philosophical ideas, emotional experiences, and national-cultural values through highly artistic language
