THE USE OF AUTHENTIC MATERIALS IN DEVELOPING SPEAKING SKILLS

Abstract

This study considers how authentic device EFL students can help them improve their

language skills. We conducted a practice research in ”Seven  language” education center with

group of 25 students participated in a four-week educational

program to integrate real-world problem in the classroom. We used authentic resources

such as YouTube interviews, restaurant menus, and vacation ad documents, podcast with

to simulate daily communication activities such as comments, recommendations, and

playing real events. Student progress was assessed using language, interactive class analysis,

and self-reflection assessment. The results showed significant improvements in learner

acquisition, vocabulary use and trust in spontaneous language. This study showed this practical
