METHODOLOGY OF USING ARCHIVAL SOURCES IN TEACHING THE HISTORY OF UZBEKISTAN IN GENERAL SECONDARY SCHOOLS

Abstract

This article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of using archival sources in teaching the History of Uzbekistan in secondary schools. The didactic potential of archival documents, their role in developing students’ historical thinking, and their significance in forming historical source analysis skills are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to teaching methodologies based on archival materials, interactive approaches, and the application of modern pedagogical technologies. The study substantiates that the use of archival sources enhances the effectiveness of history education, develops students’ independent thinking, promotes objective evaluation of historical events, and improves competencies in working with historical documents
