STUDY OF OPPOSITIONAL UNITS EXPRESSING THE MEANING OF GRADATION IN ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

Abstract

This article investigates oppositional units expressing the meaning of gradation in English and Uzbek languages from a comparative-semantic perspective. The study examines the semantic and stylistic features of gradual opposition and analyzes the ways gradational meanings are represented in both languages. Special attention is given to lexical and phraseological units expressing different degrees of quality, intensity, and evaluation. The research also identifies similarities and differences between English and Uzbek gradational systems and explains their communicative significance in discourse
