COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVES ON LANGUAGE AND CULTURE: ENGLISH AND UZBEK CONTEXTS

Abstract

Language and culture are inseparable dimensions of human experience, and their intersection becomes especially productive when examined comparatively across typologically distinct systems. This article explores the relationship between language and culture in English and Uzbek contexts, drawing on a wide body of contemporary scholarship from Central Asian and international research communities. The analysis ranges across grammatical typology, lexicology and phraseology, literary and cultural representation, language policy, assessment theory, and pedagogical innovation. The article argues that a comparative perspective on English and Uzbek reveals not only structural divergences but also the shared human imperatives of meaning-making, identity construction, and communicative adaptation that both languages serve
